Christopher Meyer is an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Architecture U | SoA and co-founding principal of the Miami-based architecture firm Atelier Mey. While at U | SoA a focus on core/upper-level architecture studios and the Environment Building System seminar courses have expanded the curriculum’s reach into issues of energy and environment. Augmenting the energy and environment dialogues Christopher is the director of the Littoral Urbanism Lab LU_Lab housed at the University of Miami School of Architecture. The LU_lab operates as a knowledge-gathering center and project-based design group focused on the evolving dialogue binding architecture, urbanism and the environment. Funded projects include a USDA U.S. Forestry Wood Innovation Grant, titled All That is Solid: Platforms of Wood Innovation, a Florida Forest Service LSR Grant, titled South Florida Solid Resilience, an SFI Community Grant, titled Into the Woods: A Carbon Story and an Epic Games Mega Grant titled The Space We Live In. |
